Skiing in Gulmarg

Trip Highlights

Mercury Himalayan Explorations is India’s leading adventure travel company, and two times winner of the National Tourism Award (2004 and 2005).

Keeping alive our passion for skiing and snowboarding we promote the best ski destinations in the Indian Himalaya. Today Gulmarg is rated to be among the top ski destinations in the world. With its famous gondola (the highest in the world), mile after mile of fresh powder snow, and fantastic beginner slopes, easy access and modern, heated accommodation, Gulmarg enjoys a unique place in the annals of Skiing history.

Due to its magnificent slopes, Gulmarg is perhaps the only winter resort in the country that attracts professional skiers and snow boarders from around the world. Our ski professional ski program provides you with state-of-the-art ski gear and small-group tuition from our team of expert instructors, headed by Canadian and European professionals and backed up with skiers from the Indian winter Olympic team. The standard trip is 5 nights and 6 days with 4 days skiing, although you can always extend this and stay longer to work on your turns.

Day 06: Srinagar

An early morning wake up call followed by a cozy Shikara ride to the famous floating vegetable market of Dal Lake. We will slowly float and sip our tea as we move through the early morning hustle of loud bargaining and deals being closed before the locals disperse with their daily grocery shopping.
